‘Like rain it sounded till it curved’—Musical Responses to Poetry

Described as “daring and unconventional” by the Spalding Guardian, Trio Alexander will perform music based on poetry and literature, including the winner of the Trio’s inaugural Call for Scores competition.
Bernstein at 100: A Celebration
Saturday, November 10 | 7:30 p.m. | Beston Hall
In honor of the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein, the Music Department presents its large ensembles performing works by one of America’s most iconic composers. The Wind Symphony will join forces with the Theatre and Dance Department to present music from On the Waterfront. The Symphony Orchestra will perform music from West Side Story and the Chamber Singers will perform Chichester Psalms.
