The state of being known or talked about by many people, especially on account of notable
achievements.
I was trying to take a selfie. I took about 10 different shots and got discouraged, none of the pics made
me look IG ready. So, I switched over to Snap Chat because I am too cheap to buy a good filtering
program. I found a cute filter that gave me smooth skin, great color, perfect lighting and perfectly
applied lashes, click…I was me again. Or was I? Now, I’m pretty low-key and I only have about 299
followers, but for some reason posting an unfiltered me was not good enough yesterday. I wasn’t good
enough for myself yesterday.
Inside of every human being there is a deep desire to be accepted, connected, and affirmed by others.
According to a famous researcher by the name of Maslow, to be known and accepted by others is part
of human self-esteem. Contrary to what people may say, it has been scientifically proven that people

In the Christian Bible, we are taught that God made male
and female in his image very carefully and with wonderful complexity. In every faith, there are sayings
and scriptures that discuss how important self-love is.
Think about it, we need people, but we have to love ourselves before we can ever properly love anyone
else.
