                           Jarret “Doctor Jarrett” Patton, MD

Jarret “Doctor Jarret” Patton MD has served thousands of children in eastern Pennsylvania for over 15
years. Throughout his career as a pediatrician and Medical Director, he has remained an advocate for children’s
health issues. Over time, his servant leadership style led him to curtail clinical practice to become a change agent in
the healthcare system. As a former President of the Medical Staff at an 8 hospital system in eastern Pennsylvania
he worked with other leaders to promote children’s health and health equity in a highly matrixed environment.
Additionally, he has advised many regional and national committees for organizations including The Joint Commis-
sion, American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Hospital Association. Doctor Jarret spent his post medical
training in various fellowships ranging from the Disparities Leadership Program at Massachusetts General Hospi-
tal to the Cultural Competency Leadership Fellowship with the Health Research and Educational Trust. He has
published in the medical literature and contributed to books primarily in the areas of general pediatrics, cultural
competency and health equity. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana
and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric resi-
dency at New York University and Bellevue Hospitals.

As the author of his book “Licensed to Live” he demonstrates that through faith, resilience, and persever-
ance job titles are only temporary. This perspective is what leads his coaching program to health professionals
who are faced with career transitions for a variety of reasons. Additionally, keeping to his pediatric roots, he hosts
Two “Sense” Tuesdays on his Facebook page @DoctorJarret where he addresses pediatric topics live at 1:00pm ET.
Doctor Jarret is the founder and CEO of DoctorJarret, PLLC, a irm which helps educate, enlighten, and improve
healthcare. He does this through his books, coaching programs and public speaking.
