GILERA TG-1 (1977-1982)
This was produced from 1977 to 1982, both in 80 and 125 cc versions (the 80 was distinguishable by the engine only), with spoked or alloy wheels and classical style for the time, in the Moto Guzzi 350/500-4 style, and using the same graphics. With this model, Gilera abandoned the four-stroke engine, which had been developed continuously on its 125s since the 1950 Gilerino, until the Arcore. The performance of the TG-1 was modest, lower than that of the last four-stroke models that preceded it.
This type of motorcycle was equipped with a mixer for separate lubrication just for starting with the TG-1 Mix version, launched in 1979. The early examples of the TG-1 therefore used a petrol-oil mixture.
