Expected Demand Centers Asia Pacific
o Amidst increasing viability of the technology, government support and investor interests in several markets, substantial growth opportunities are abound for the green hydrogen sector in Asia Pacific over the coming years.
o Key driver of growth in the region is the abundance of cheap low-carbon electricity that decreases production costs of green hydrogen, driving adoption of green hydrogen technology. Pilot projects are underway to establish the feasibility of hydrogen gas being integrated into existing gas infrastructures and networks.
o Demand in the region is expected to be driven by Japan in the short term, with increasing support from Australia, China, India, South Korea, Singapore and New Zealand. o Demand in the Far East is anticipated to be substantially supplied by Australia post 2030.
