Instant Pot Ground
Beef and Rice Shawarma
One Pot Dinner
INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Prepare the Ground Beef and Rice
Shawarma
1 cup diced onion
Turn your Instant Pot onto Sauté
5 cloves garlic on high. When the display reads
HOT, add oil. When the oil is hot and
shimmering, add the minced garlic and
1 pound ground beef sauté for 30 seconds.
1 and 1/2 cups water or broth Add onions and ground beef. Stir while
breaking up the ground beef clumps.
Don't worry about cooking the beef at
1 and 1/2 cups basmati rice, rinsed and this stage, just break it up well. Note,
drained if you have ANYTHING sticking to the
bottom of the Instant Pot, pour in 1/4
4 cups shredded cabbage cup of water and thoroughly deglaze
the bottom of your pot.
3 tablespoons shawarma spice Add rice, water, cabbage, salt, and
shawarma spice.
1 teaspoon salt
&ook on High Pressure for ¿ve minutes,
and allow the pressure to release
1/4 cup chopped cilantro for garnish naturally for 10 minutes. Release
(optional) remaining pressure.
