PROCESS
The Barefoot College model of self regulated partnership served as inspiration for enhancing
peer-to-peer trust through local outreach programs. Medical Health Maps mobile health units and
digital documentation systems served as inspiration for the documentation and mobile health unit
system. Drawing from these existing system models and feedback from earlier stages of the process,
the service blueprint at this stage consists of the seven stages of the process mapped across the
different layers of the service and the associated touchpoints of interaction. The stages of the
service, in short are as follows.
Approaching: The service reaches out to local communities and identifies potential
ambassadors for ISM.
Training: The training of local ambassadors of the system in rudimentary tasks, knowledge
about ISM and how to talk to people about the unique benefits of ISM.
Spreading: The local ambassador goes back to their community, conducts basic medical tests
and spreads word about ISM medicine.
Organising: If the community decided to organise an ISM event with the service, they set up
the date and time of the event.
Event: A customised health truck arrives at the location and provides paid consultation and
medicines in ISM.
Documentation: The doctor documents the patient’s condition, before and after treatment and
records their testimonials, which is then uploaded to a live document.
Follow Up: The patient keeps in touch with the doctor through a platform and can access the
ISM live document through their digital devices.
