If desired, place one or two sutures of 2 metric (3/0 USP) rapidly absorbable suture material to appose the deep
tissues, being careful to avoid the facial nerve and external carotid artery. Position the skin to determine the best
method for apposing skin to the incised pinna margin (usually a T- or L-shaped closure). Most surgeons use 2 metric
