PROJECT DESCRIPTION
• As UGA’s first P3 venture, East Campus Village features fully furnished apartment units which serve as
a new unit type to the on-campus housing offering.
• Building design involves enclosed and conditioned corridors with a high efficiency centralized
mechanical and plumbing system
• The common area program includes 24-hour service desk, central laundry and mail, resident manager’s
apartments as well as numerous common gathering areas highlighted by the signature Fireside Lounge.
• The project site was developed on a large commuter parking lot and required the inclusion of an
adjacent 850-space parking deck.
• A Flagship dining facility of approximately 56,500 sf, Village Commons, was created as a component
of the project and includes a two-story design with multiple food concepts which include the “Village
Summit” full service meal plan, Cyber Café highlighting multiple cash and carry food concepts, and a
convenience store. The facility also provided much needed commissary space for the university as well
as offices for UGA’s Parking Services Department.
