The intent of this plan is to help the Sheriff reach the overarching office-wide
strategic goals for 2015-2020. Each work group will publish long-term

strategic goals, followed by shorter tactical goals. Short-term goals should be
completed by the end of calendar year 2018.

The Sheriff’s Executive Team will review this plan every year. The Undersheriff
is responsible for ensuring the plan is updated and measured. During the
remainder of this plan, we will continue to track external influences such as
changes in legislation, economic indicators and population trends. As we
measure progress, we may make modifications to stay relevant.

1. Help make Washington County the safest urban county in Oregon.
2. Provide excellent customer service.
3. Build and strengthen community relationships and public trust.
4. Be financially responsible.
