ABRSM Percussion
ABRSM’S new Percussion Syllabus is designed to offer a flexible approach to percussion assessment. There are exams at
Grades 1-8 in Snare Drum, Timpani and Tuned Percussion as individual, standalone subjects. They also offer a Percussion
(Combined) exam at Grades 1-8 to allow candidates to demonstrate their skills in all three subjects.
The ABRSM Percussion syllabus from 2020 offers candidates the flexibility to be examined on a single percussion subject
(snare drum, mpani or tuned percussion) or on all three subjects (in a Combined Percussion examina on) at every grade.
