Alyssa Rosenblum: Alyssa. You are a drum major. Even when we knew each other at DMA, you were so drum major. You are such an amazing person who will just walk right up to ANYBODY and be like “hey we’re about to be best friends.” You go out of the way to make sure everyone feels comfortable and is having a good time which shows how big of a heart you have. I love you so much and am so happy to have gone through this activity with you all 4 years.
My Rookie Buddies:
Sarah Joyce: Yo assistant Band Manager. YOU KILL IT. I’m so happy to have been able to march with you this year despite not having you on the field last year (you were very missed). I am so happy to have gotten to be friends with you and I can’t wait to come back and visit you next year.
Sam Von Fricken: Sam you have the most enthusiasm and energy out of anyone I know. On the field you never fail to hype up everyone around you and make sure everyone else is having as much fun as you are. Keep being the positive upbeat personality you are.
Mary and Marley: If we haven’t gotten coffee yet before you are both reading this I am so sorry.. It will happen. I promise. Anyway, you two are both extremely kind people who I am so happy to have met this year. It has been a blast seeing you Marley at parties and Mary we always seem to run into each other whether it’s between classes or at pep band. I hope you will both continue to do band in the future and I hope you will both enjoy the next 3(and a half??) years of college. I know it sounds so cliche but take it all in because it really does go by so fast!! Love you both :)
Other Friends I’ve made along the way:
Jess Hamilton: Jess I don’t even know what to say. It feels like I’ve known you for so much longer than 2 years. You are such an amazing person of faith and I truly feel blessed to be on this journey with someone so understanding and caring. You are so amazing at showing the love of Jesus to others both on the field and off and the energy you bring to everyone around you is so contagious so don’t lose it. I am going to miss you so much next year and I can’t wait to come back and visit :)
Erin Leatherum: Hey wanna go to Maryland? Erin you are such a fun spirited person who makes my day and I’m pretty sure the day of many others at band. You are so enthusiastic about band and I love that we are friends both on and off the field (being co-captains of the Sleep Team has been a blast). I’m going to miss you so much and I can’t wait to come back and visit. Take care of the sleep team next year captain!
Alayna Hernandez: Fellow Playa fam! We have suffered through #butwhybrian2019 and now we’re coworkers (woo!) I can’t wait to come back and visit you and I hope you will continue to do band for the next 3 years. Keep spinning like a BO$$, steer clear of the name “Brian” on any course list, and keep blending acai.
Emily Hunt: Pit amirite? Emily, I am so happy to have become friends with you last year and I am also so happy we got to go through not only marching band together but also “A Chorus Line.” Assasins was a really good try, but whatever right? I think it’s super cool how you are both a wind and a guard member at the same time and that you are so good at both. Love you!
Jeremy Patterson: I know I may not be in guard but I just wanted to say that you freaking kill it. Aside from being able to do crazy tosses and stuff on gun, you are such a bright personality and someone I enjoy being around very much. I’m upset we only became friends this year, but I am so glad we did. From binging GBBO, to spinning in the Pug until 2am, I am so happy to call you a new
