Thank you for being one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met in my entire life. GOD OKAY I LOVE YOU OKAY THERE I SAID IT. I’m gonna miss you so much next year!! You’re going to do great things in this band!
Allie Landrie:
I know I’ve already said this before, but thank you for reminding me why I love band! Your energy and excitement for this organization was refreshing, and was a great reminder of why its so great. Your time here has only just begun, but I can already tell you’re going to earn any leadership role this band offers you. Never stop being you!
UD Trumpet Lines ’16, ’17 & ’18:
Thank you for showing me what its like to be a member of the UD Trumpet Line. Thank you for making my experience in this band one that is so unique and something I’ll cherish forever. The bonds this section has created are something of family. Heart. Soul. Sound...Sandwich
UD Trumpet Line of 2019:
HEY TRUMPETS! INTERRUPTINGCOWMOO!! Thank you all for making this the best senior year that I could ever ask for. This was honestly the best, and most balanced section the UD Trumpet Line has had in at least 4 years. We all worked extremely hard, but most importantly, we worked together at each rehearsal to show off such a great sound that will be hard to replicate for years to come. Thank you for all of the crazy fun times we’ve had this season too, the most we’ve ever had in 4 years. From the bus ride to Allentown weekend, the bus ride FROM Allentown weekend, each game day bus, and the hayride. I’m so happy that I get to call each of you family. HEART. SOUL. SOUND...SANDWICH. STADIUM TOOTHPASTE!
Kevin Myrick ~~
Salutations,
Kevin here. What you have just laid your eyes upon is the will of my seniority. Naturally, I started writing this the day before it was due. And apparently, pretty much everyone else has been planning their wills for months or even years, but I, unsentimentally, still have no idea what I want to convey even as I write this. As such, this will probably be abstract and perhaps incomprehensible, and I am not sorry.
In case you’re unaware, which is likely as I’ve never really had the chance to interact with those who aren’t in drumline, I’ve spent 4 years as a member of the front ensemble. Maybe you’d recognize the back of my head.
Honestly, I can’t believe I made it into the pit my freshmen year. I know everyone says that, but I’m saying it with more conviction than them. Back in 2015, I went to the first July mini camp (skipped the second one to go to Otakon), and there were maybe 8 pit people there. Dawn tried to estimate for us how many spots would be open, and I felt confident enough that I would make it in what the heck. But then the audition comes around; and with it comes a butt-ton of people I’ve never even fathomed
