         Bird Walks

         •  Wednesday May 4th, 12:30 pm

         •  Saturday May 7th, 8:30 am

         •  Saturday May 14th, 7:00 am

         •  Sunday May 29th, 7:00 am
         •  Saturday June 4th, 7:00 am

         Join us to look for early arriving avian migrants and resident birds.
         Depending on conditions, we will walk along the Rich Lake Marsh,
         the Hudson River Fen, or the trails at the Interpretive Center. Walks
         are easy rambles and great for beginning birders. Binoculars are
         available thanks to Northern New York Audubon. Space is limited.
         Preregistration required.


         Fly Fishing Workshop
         Saturday May 7th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

         This one-day workshop will introduce you to the art and science of
         fly fishing. Licensed Fishing Guide Rick Kovacs will be your instructor
         for this event.  A combination of indoor and outdoor instruction will
         focus on the basics of fly casting, gear, and technique. No equipment
         or experiences required. Bring your lunch and a willingness to learn
         something new or work on your skills. Pre-registration and pre-
         payment of $40 fee required by April 30th.
