The Goodland Activities Center is your complete fitness center in Goodland. Looking for a workout? Come enjoy an aerobics class or check out
the cardio and weight rooms. Youth sports include soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, football, tennis, wrestling,
tumbling and taekwondo. The GAC has top of the line weight and fitness equipment just waiting to keep you in shape.
Goodland Public Library
The Goodland Public Library has served the residents of Sherman County for decades. We have everything from World Book Encyclopedias, reference books, dictionaries, ‘how-to’ books, and the latest fiction and non-fiction best sellers. Come check us
out and stay for a while in our
reading areas. We have separate areas for kids and adults. Come join us and open yourself to a world of reading possibilities!
Land & Sky Scenic Byway
The Land and Sky Scenic Byway runs north and south through Sherman County, providing an unparalleled perspective of open sky through badlands and plains. Travelers along the byway have the opportunity to experience the Topside of Kansas and explore the
deep canyons and rugged landscape. This is the only byway in the state that focuses on agriculture and features thousands of acres of rotating crops, livestock, and wildlife along the route. A kiosk for the byway is located near O’Riley’s Auto Parts, in the Walmart Parking lot of Goodland.
High Plains Museum
The High Plains Museum is your stop for discovering the history of Goodland and Sherman County. The museum features objects
in permanent and temporary
exhibits. Its collection of over
8,000 objects represent over
one hundred years of Northwest
Kansas history. Admission is free,
and the experience is for the whole family.
