***********************************************************************************
The purpose of the team member Conduct Policy is to improve team member performance and
customer service. As such, the Policy shall serve as a guide for supervisors and team members
and shall be used to correct team member behavior and performance that does not meet
standards.
As the basic standard of fairness in the Center, team members are to be informed of the types
of behavior expected of them and the rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices by
which they must abide. Corrective actions result from failure to abide by the standards. It is the
policy that the standards of conduct for team members be equitably enforced.
Each team member is expected to conduct her/himself in a manner befitting her or his status as
a team member of Jack & Jill Children’s Center. She or he shall refrain from actions or public
announcements, which reflect adversely upon the Center. Team members shall exercise
prudence and discretion in regard to all official business of the Center.
Team members are to abide by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC) Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment and the Florida Department of
Education Code of Ethics & Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in
Florida. Team members will be required to sign the NAEYC’s Statement of Commitment and the
Standards of Ethical Conduct Commitment, both documents will be kept in the team member’s
file.
A corrective action may include a reprimand, written warning, suspension, or termination as
deemed appropriate by Jack & Jill Children’s Center.
