Jack and Jill Children’s Center is committed to fair and transparent accounting of financial
matters and expects all team members, officers, trustees, agents, etc. to act in accordance with
the highest ethical standards in the performance of their responsibilities for the Center.
Jack and Jill Children’s Center will investigate any possible fraudulent or dishonest use or
misuse of Center resources or property by team members, officers, trustees, agents, etc.
Anyone found to have engaged in fraudulent or dishonest conduct is subject to disciplinary
action by Jack and Jill Children’s Center up to and including civil or criminal prosecution and
termination when warranted.
All team member members are encouraged to report any and all concerns to a member of
management so the concern can be properly investigated.
The Executive Committee will oversee the handling of allegations including directing an
appropriate investigation. Based upon results of the investigation, the Executive Committee will
direct the Center to take prompt and appropriate corrective action.
Jack and Jill Children’s Center will protect complainants as outlined below:
Jack and Jill Children’s Center will use best efforts to protect complainants against
retaliation. The Center will keep their identity confidential unless (1) the person
agrees to be identified; (2) identification is necessary to allow the investigation to be
completed; (3) identification is required by law; (4) the person accused of wrong
doing is entitled to the information as matter of legal right in disciplinary
proceedings.
Jack and Jill Children’s Center team members or Board of Director’s will not retaliate
against a complainant with the intent or effect of adversely affecting the terms or
conditions of employment (including but not limited to: threats of physical harm, loss
of job, punitive work assignments, or impact on salary or wages). Complainants who
believe they have been retaliated against may file a written complaint with the
Executive Committee. A proven complaint of retaliation shall result in a proper
remedy for the person harmed and the initiation of disciplinary action, up to and
including termination, against the retaliating person.
Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action, including termination.
