This volume spotlights the Baltimore-based raucous rock band SilverTung in an interview conducted by
Senior Journalist and valued member of our management team, Jere Perry. Through his report, Jere
hones in on why SilverTung was an obvious choice to garner the top slot of this edition of the fastest-
growing, all-genre independent music magazine today. This bold band personifies the talent and tenacity
it takes to command rapt attention in the saturated arena that is the music industry. Learn all about
SilverTung in this issue.
And if you are going to ROCK and you want to do it hard, what better band to bring to the party than
the iconic group Guns N’ Roses? We are significantly stoked that Axl, Slash, and the band are joining us
to ring out the old and bring in the new in this Nov/Dec ’17 issue. Senior Photojournalist Timothy
Schumann captured all the sights and sounds of GNR and their rousing performance (with opener ZZ
Top) at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas, this past September, when ION Indie Magazine was one
of the select media outlets given the nod to photograph this much sought-after show. Read Tim’s
accounting of the “Not In This Lifetime” tour and soak in his sizzling photography inside these pages.
Finally, we are excited to announce the syndication of our radio show Eye On Jamz with host Sheldon
Snow. Our new home base is out of San Antonio, Texas, where we are pleased to be working with the
fabulous folks at AM1670. You’ll find the global press release in this edition. Be looking for Eye On Jamz
at a station near you!
