The vision of Colorado Young Leaders is to define a new generational leader; a young person with a clear passion & purpose, a heart for others, and a desire to get the most out of life. Through CYL, youth 13 to18 of age become engaged and impactful community members, inclusive leaders, and passionate individuals with an adventurous spirit. CYL develops young people’s leadership skills through an action-oriented curriculum, inspires a sense of adventure through meaningful service-learning opportunities, and creates a community for young people to live out their discovered skills and passions in a positive way. A student-driven organization, CYL, is grounded in the belief that young people can change the world and is animated by the core values of leadership, service, community, adventure, and legacy.
Common Sense Institute is a non-partisan research organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of Colo- rado’s economy. CSI is at the forefront of important discussions concerning the future of free enterprise in Colorado and aims to have an impact on the issues that matter most to Coloradans. CSI’s mission is to examine the fiscal impacts of policies, initiatives, and proposed laws so that Coloradans are educated and informed on issues impact- ing their lives. CSI employs rigorous research techniques and dynamic modeling to evaluate the potential impact of these measures on the Colorado economy and individual opportunity. Common Sense Institute was founded in 2010 originally as Common Sense Policy Roundtable. CSI’s founders were a concerned group of business and community leaders who observed that divisive partisanship was overwhelming policymaking and believed that sound economic analysis could help Coloradans make fact-based and common sense decisions.
