Angela Buono Fiasconaro

Upon graduating from high school I attended Glassboro State College (now Rowan
University) and graduated in 1969 with a BA in Elementary Education. I began my
teaching career in Long Branch at the Morris Ave School as a first grade teacher. I taught
                   there for 7 years.

In 1970 I married Jim Fiasconaro. We have 2 daughters, Dina (39) who is a film
professor at Stevenson University in Maryland and Jami (36) who is a Social Worker for
the local YMCA. Both girls are married and I have 1 granddaughter, Sailor 1 1/2.

While raising my children I did volunteer work, assisted Jim in running a family business
and taught nursery school. In 1989, I went back to teaching full-time in the Oceanport
                                                                 rd
                                                                       th
                                                                                th
School District, teaching Basic Skills, Grades 3 -, 5 -, and 8 -grade literature, where I
continued teaching until my retirement in 2007. During that time I attended many
educational workshops related to my teaching positions. Since then, I have been working
part-time as a Learning Assistant in the Reading Lab at Brookdale Community College,
which I find interesting and challenging.

I resided in Oceanport for 40 years. After Hurricane Sandy damaged my home I moved to
                   Eatontown in November 2013.

I enjoy reading, shopping, socializing with friends and traveling, which has taken me
throughout the United States, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe. My greatest joy now
is spending time with my granddaughter.
