Fran Cittadino Picard

After graduation, I joined the United States Navy. I attended their Dental Technician
school and was assigned to duty at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda,
Maryland, where I met and married my husband, Tom, on February 4, 1967. We have
                   two daughters—Peggy (47) and Shari (44).

In 1973, we moved from Long Branch to Tom’s home state of California. I started
working as a “Kelly Girl”, since I had been out of the job market for so long. I had many
different office jobs, while working for them, until J. C. Penney hired me in a permanent
                   position.

In 1979, we moved to Texas and bought a small ranch! Tom worked and I stayed home
and tended the farm animals. Later, I went back to work to help out. Again, I had a few
different jobs. In a small town, there aren’t many to choose from. I became a factory
worker making baseball gloves and sports equipment. I was there for 22 years before
retiring in 2006. When Tom’s job closed down, we went to work together in another
factory, making airplane seats. I was there 5 years before retiring again in 2011.

My life has NOT been boring.
