Dennis Del Vecchio

Since graduating LBHS in 1965, I attended college receiving a B.S. degree in electrical
                                                                                             th
engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. In 1969, on August 30 of that year, I
married Carmeline Lisanti. We have two sons named Marc and Adam. In September 1970, I
started a bicycle business in Long Branch named The Peddler with a friend, Anthony Schiavo,
               another LBHS graduate.

In 1974, I left the business to work for the government as a design engineer. I joined the private
sector as an engineering manager in the aerospace industry in 1981. For the next 30 years, I was
engaged in project/program management and was certified as a Project Management
Professional by the Project Management Institute.

In 2006 my wife, Carmeline, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, to which she succumbed
on September 11, 2011. To keep her memory alive, my sons and I started a non-profit
organization in June 2012 called “The Carmeline Del Vecchio Memorial Foundation”. The
foundation raises money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and provides a
scholarship(s) in the amount of $3,000 to a student(s) graduating from LBHS and who aspire to a
career in the medical profession. To date we have donated over $18,000 to these two worthy
causes. Check out our web page at: www.theCDMF.org. At this time I am semi-retired and do
               consulting on project/program management.
