Nancy Foggia Olsen

Shortly after graduation, I began my career with the Federal Government working in Fort
Monmouth at the U. S. Army Signal Center and School.

I was married in 1967 and was blessed with my first daughter, Michele, in 1969. Two
years later, I became a mother again to another daughter, Jennifer. Within the next few
years, I continued with my government career working at the Social Security
Administration in Asbury Park, New Jersey and later at the Health Care Financing
Administration. In 1982, we moved to Maryland where I currently reside and I retired in
2006 after 34 years of service.

I have three beautiful grandchildren, Parker (9), Peyton (6), and Taylor (3), who reside in
Seattle with my youngest daughter, Jennifer and her husband. I miss having them closer,
but am able to fly out 3 times a year and spend a couple of weeks with them each time. I
                   love being a grandmother!

And finally, I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. I was initially diagnosed in 2005
                                            th
(and why I missed our 40 reunion) and my second diagnosis was in 2007. I have been
cancer free for seven years now and feel extremely blessed to be able to call myself a
                   survivor.
