INTRODUCTION

Malaysia has been rapidly ushered into the digital age,
together with the rest of the world, for the past few decades

due to the exponential and unprecedented advancement
in the use of Information and Communications Technology
(ICT). We have come a long way since the first adoption of
the Internet back in 1995. Today, broadband connectivity
has become a necessity for businesses, services and citizens
of Malaysia to succeed and be relevant in the Fourth
Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). Hardly any person or thing

is unconnected to cyberspace. Businesses are becoming
deeply reliant on democratised technologies such as mobile,
social, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence
(AI), and hyper-scale cloud that are all dependant on this
connectivity.
