Brand
Once “Stakis” the brand, was created by Reo, it never
became a weakness, although it must have received
some bad publicity at the end of the Andros era.
Strength all three eras.
Leadership (organisational hierarchy)
Reo showed great leadership, using all of his
entrepreneurial skills to build his empire and creating the
Stakis brand. Reo researched what his customers wanted
and tailored his business to suite. He had foresight to see
changes in the external environment and took measures
to ensure his organisation could capitalise. When Reo
realised that it was not unusual for a casino to lose its
licence from the Gaming Board. He introduced a
graduate management-training scheme, to improve the
image of his casinos and demonstrate his rigorous
control methods. Reo had also put together a strong
board of directors, with a wealth of experience within the
industry, the only point that could be made was that at
the end of his reign the board were all getting a bit old
and the lack of succession planning. Strength.
Andros had foresight and innovation, but let himself
down through lack of research of new ventures and
selecting the wrong people as managers. Andros had
good knowledge, but lacked business experience and
