Although the case was initially written for final year

Business Policy courses it may, nevertheless, be used on a

variety of courses. It would be suitable for use mid-way

through postgraduate MBA or it could be used on Hotel,
Catering and Management courses as well as Accountancy

courses.

c : SUGGESTED STUDENT ASSIGNMENT

Inevitably students would be assigned to carry-out the
fundamental work of developing

- time related SWOT and PEST analyses.

- a functional analysis.

- an in-depth financial analysis.

- an evaluation of the role of the Chief Executive vis-à-vis

Chairman.

- an evaluation of the strategic thrusts during the life of the

case.

- assessment of the systems approach in relation to the
stakeholders.
