• LADBROKE GROUP PLC ANNOUNCES
RECOMMENDED OFFER FOR STAKIS PLC
On 8 February 1999, the Board of Ladbroke
announced a recommended cash and share offer for
Stakis. As at that date the offer valued Stakis at
approximately £1.16 billion.
The full text of Ladbrokes announcement including the
recommendation by the board of Stakis, was sent to
shareholders on 11 February 1999. The formal offer
document will be sent to shareholders as soon as is
practicable.
