Meanwhile, in the BRICS, the attendees debated currency manipulation. The attendees
managed to address the minute technicalities of the argument. The attendees were quick to
put forward innovative, ingenious and inspiring ideas. However, all was not smooth sailing.
The attendees were pulled back by the depreciation of the British Pound. Blood, tears and
sweat was shed in the press conference that followed that led to the Chinese delegation
breaking ties with South Africa and the Russian delegation admitting their lack of freedom
of press. None of this deterred the delegates to put forward a technical draft resolution.
2016 was rocked by far right populist movements, and the European Union had to face the
first of them, Brexit. The delegates debated, discussed and drove their point home while
faced with the future of not only the United Kingdom, not only the EU, but the European
continent as a whole. After, the word was out, three other countries were quick to leave the
EU, leaving the future of the European Union bleak. The delegates responded with the
utmost foresight, saving the future of this intra-continental economic group.
