Control of grain size and texture First conclusion
_ The grain size is relevant for the properties of material in the annealed condition. _ But annealed material is seldom used in photochemical machining industry. _ Depending on final forming to the desired strength level the crystal order is lost and
the question becomes how this affects the etching rate for various alloys? _ Further research is surely needed to clarify this question.
_ But for most applications this question is of lower importance as the thickness
tolerance is considerably larger than the variation due to grain orientation.
The most important factor is
to have a frozen process route for a certain product.
