                                  Poison Center













                The WVPC participates in the American Association of Poison

                Control Center’s National Poison Data System (NPDS), the largest

                poison exposure database in the United States.






                De-identified data

                collected is used to:


                •  Target problem areas


                    and adjust services


                •  Advance knowledge of

                    poisons and antidotes


                •  Teach health care

                    professionals and

                    students


                •  Provide necessary data


                    for product safety

                    regulation
