Medical Outcome
Outcomes can be determined as follow-up calls are conducted for cases in which symptoms
have occurred or more than minor symptoms are expected to occur. All hospital cases are
followed-up until discharge. Total number of follow-up calls in 2017 = approx. 19,000
No follow-up done as ingestion not-toxic = 467
No follow-up done as only minor symptoms anticipated = 5,262
No follow-up done as patient lost to follow-up or refused follow-up = 634
