asking the patient to tap out the rhythm of palpitation
on the desk or on their knees is extremely helpful in
reaching a diagnosis. These episodes of palpitation may
be associated with pre-syncope, syncope, chest pain
and abnormal pulsations in the neck. Supraventricular
tachycardia includes the following arrhythmias, of which,
the last three are usually paroxysmal (Fig. 1).
