On the morning of July 4th

…take an hour out of your preparations to attend an Ecumenical celebration being
held at the Durand School in the air conditioned cafeteria. The pastors from the
churches in Durand will be present to provide a few words of thanks, while reli-
gious, as well as, patriotic songs, will be sung. The Ecumenical service will begin
at 10:00 am. Start the holiday out right by saying “thank you, God, for this great
country”.

If you are able to provide a donation to the Blessing Box in front of Trinity Lutheran
Church it would be appreciated. The box empties almost every day. The organizers
need boxed food items and paper products. Keep in mind that the temperatures
can heat up the canned goods, melt a bar of soap, etc. Thank you, the Durand
Ecumenical Council.
