Easter ideas for families to do together

                                                      Easter tree-

Take the kids and go for a hunt outside and find a branch that has many little branches
coming off of it. A size of branch that can be set into a container like a coffee can. Fill
the can with rocks to hold the branch straight. On small pieces of paper have the kids
write down names of family and friends. Put the papers inside of plastic eggs and hang
the eggs with ribbon from the branch you have prepared. Each day of Holy week have
the kids choose one egg, open it and pray for that family member or friend.

                                                  Egg Head Disciples-

Take an egg and carefully crack a hole in the top about the size of a quarter. **Save
the insides for breakfast** and wash out the remaining shell. (Save the egg carton to
use to stand the “shell.”) With a marker make a face on the front, add potting soil to
the inside and sprinkle grass seed over the soil. In no time the grass will grow giving the
egg-disciple hair, thus egg head disciple!

                                                   See through eggs-

Cut rainbow colored tissue paper into egg shapes about 6” in size. Lay the shapes onto a
sheet of clear contact paper. Cover the shapes with more contact paper keeping the
sticky sides together. Cut out the egg shapes, punch a hole in the top and lace with rib-
bon. Hang in windows for the sun to catch.
