These informational fairs will provide an in-depth overview of the Northern Illinois
Synod diakonia Program–a two-year commitment to learning about your faith, the
church, and your gifts to be used in God’s service.

“Come and See” includes the following components:

 Program overview and orientation
 A class simulation on a diakonia topic such as the New Testament,
early church history, or Christian worship
 Brief remarks by current diakonia students and graduates
 Table-top displays featuring each of the 12 courses, with sample syllabi,
resources, and a diakonia host
 Time for refreshments, fellowship, and getting answers to questions
