GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Coltin is the son of Paula and Tim Rau. Coltin is busy serving Trinity as reader, commun-
ion assistant, and reading prayers of intercession. He serves as sacristan changing para-

ments and filling candles with oil. He’s also helped out with Vacation Bible School and
last summer attended the National Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas.

Coltin is also active with the Northern IL Synod where he currently serves on the NIS

Light High School Youth team representing our NW Conference. High schoolers, ask
Coltin about the Ignite 2020 High School Retreat coming up in June 2020.

Also in 2020, Coltin, with assistance from Jenny McLean and mom, will start a youth
group open to the community. Coltin hopes the youth group will be a place where kids

feel comfortable as well as a time to learn about God and strengthen their relationships
with God.

Coltin shared that his faith in God is im-

portant to him because it helps him know
that God is always there for him, no matter

what. By attending church, he can praise

God with everyone and feels God’s presence.

As a sophomore at Dakota High School, he
currently plays basketball. After high school

he plans on attending college and doing some-
thing in the medical field. When not in
church or school, Coltin enjoys hunting, lifting

weights and doing things with his friends
and family.
