CODE OF CONDUCT
SECTION 1. INTRODUCTION.
The following guidelines were approved by the Board of Directors and establish a Code of Conduct for members of MYAKKA PINES GOLF CLUB. A copy will be posted on the club House Bulletin Board, together with a copy of the Club’s Grievance Procedures. New members joining the Club will be given a copy of each document.
SECTION 2. DRESS.
Proper attire must be worn at all times, i.e., tank tops, bathing suits, jeans, and other such apparel is prohibited. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.
SECTION 3. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto Club premises for consumption on such premises.
SECTION 4. INTOXICATION.
The kitchen staff will refuse to sell alcoholic beverages to any member if they believe that such member shows signs of intoxication.
SECTION 5. FOOD.
No food may be brought into the Clubhouse without permission of the House Committee.
SECTION 6. PROFANITY AND VULGARITY.
The use of profanity or vulgar language on Club premises under conditions which can be offensive to other members or guests by reason of their proximity, loudness, etc., is prohibited.
SECTION 7. ARGUMENTS.
When any discussion between members reaches a point where it is so loud as to disrupt conversations or activities of other players or other persons in the Club House, Pro Shop, or on Club grounds, it becomes prohibitive.
SECTION 8. VIOLATION OF CLUB BYLAWS, RULES OF GOLF, ETC.
Any violation of Club Bylaws, U.S.G.A. or Local Rules of Golf, or the laws of any local, State, or Federal entity relating to the Club and/or it’s members, may subject the violator to disciplinary actions or expulsion.
SECTION 9. OTHER BEHAVIOR.
Any offensive or inappropriate behavior not specifically covered in the preceding sections may be subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors.
SECTION 10. CLUB ACTION.
Where violations of these procedures are found, whether pursuant to a grievance filed by a member or through other means, the matter will be resolved by the Board of Directors at a regular or special Board Meeting. The Action may be in the form of a warning letter, suspension, or expulsion from the Club. In no case will action be finalized prior to an opportunity for the aggrieved to appear before the Board
