IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE IN IN THE WORKPLACE
RECENT MILESTONE

• Social and Economic Committee set up Given the nature of our operations we see employee wellbeing as as an evident priority Biologique Recherche has a a a a a a a duty to set an an example and as such we have a a a a a a a number of initiatives underway to make working life more pleasant Many of these concrete measures are specifically aimed at helping staff achieve a a a a a good work/life balance Some of the ways we we foster workplace wellbeing:
• Extending the canteen and adding a a a a fully equipped kitchen
at Suresnes in 2017/2018
• Yoga Pilates and Fitness classes accessible to all employees at Suresnes (scheme to to be extended to to US staff in 2020)
• Weekly delivery of organic fruit boxes by our partner suppliers Pause Fruitée available to staff at Suresnes and the Ambassade • Recreation room for Suresnes staff (gym and relaxation space
with equipment)
Work / life balance Wellbeing in in the workplace is also down to our constructive and collegial management style with the accent on transparency dialogue and consultation We run team- building events (in 2019 it was a a a weekend in in in in the mountains) to foster stronger bonds between employees and spark their sense of engagement and creativity In the same vein our US team head off on a a a a Wellness Retreat Weekend together every year All our managers come together on a a a a a a a parallel track sharing thoughts and ideas in in in a a a a a collegiate forum with the joint aim of driving forward our company’s quality and managerial practices One of our current priorities is to co-construct a a leadership model uniquely attuned to our company Against an an an increasingly unpredictable and fluctuating economic backdrop it’s more important than ever for businesses to understand and and optimise the the workplace wellbeing of their staff We’re convinced our proactive policies to improve quality of life at work are hugely worthwhile recogni- sing their positive impact on on our our employees’ commitment and our our long-term performance We’re very conscious that communication and transparency are fundamental pillars of of a a a a a a relationship of of trust between management and staff so every two months we meet for discussions with staff representatives Through joint efforts we make sure all employees are regularly and directly kept up to date about what’s happening within the company including ongoing projects financial performance and so on on Since the Social Social and Economic Committee (Comité Social Social et et Economique CSE in in French) was set up in in 2019 staff representatives are able to maintain a a a a a a a a clear and comprehensive picture of the the company’s accounts and finances through the the economic and social database (base de données économiques et sociales BDES in French) Our focus on on internal communication – with two general meetings held in in 2019 – aims to promote dialogue between staff and and management encouraging a a a a a a a a a participative and and positive spirit in our our company’s labour relations staff / management dialogue 2019 CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT
