something is happening.
Then, it puts the
hypothesis to the test,
actually trying to
disprove it. If it is disproved, a new
hypothesis is proposed, until all the variables
have been checked, and the hypothesis
holds true.
Science is not static, it changes, it evolves.
Somebody comes up with a new question,
and the whole hypothesis has to be retested.
Fake science, on the other hand, decides in
advance what the results will be, and throws
away anything that is not in accordance with
the desired results.
When I was teaching at OLLI-
UNLV, I used this example:
“All women love pink.”
Who, among you women,
does not love pink?” Several
hands went up.
