PLANETARIUM TEACHING
Students with disabilities
Not all students have the same capabilities as others, therefore you
need to adapt your lessons according to their disabilities.
Students with visual impairment like to touch both the external and
internal curve of the dome to sense what they are and the reason for
amplification of sound in the dome.
Some materials to work with are:
How to make Planetariums more accesible to visitors
with disabilities: a guide including methods that could
be adapted to portable domes.
Touch the stars: a book written in Braille with englilsh
printed behind the Braille.
If you have to work with kids with disabilities try to adapt your lessons.
In case you don't know how to do it ask for expert advice.
