My work explores an interweaving of layered
fragments and shapes that evolve through
connections influenced by memories and
elements pulled from the contemporary
landscape. References collected range
from the visible features of the nature world,
architecture and digital experiences that have
aesthetic appeal.
Compositions evolve intuitively as I make
connections between elements. Layered
fragments form meaning as I draw shapes
connecting segments within the synthetic
surface. As I work, memories, visual
remembrances and music lyrics begin
influencing the direction of the design.
The finished composition becomes a
perceptual mixture of these collected passing “Grey skies bring
