one. After many hours and even more miles of summer preparation, the Brothers got off to a slow start. They quickly recovered, however, and picked up two morale boosting victories at the Auburn and Baldwinsville Invita- tionals. With these two under their belt, the runners went on to place seventeenth in the prestigious Federation Meet. Notable about this contest was the fact the Broth­ ers had to defeat twelve state ranked teams out of a field of forty three schools.
The number one slot was filled by state ranked Chris Shepardson who consistently ran in the top ten spots. The talents of George Luke and Cathal O’Connor as well as juniors Rob Toole and John O’Connor enabled the team to justifiably develop high expectations for next fall.
