 Frosh Hoopsters
Face Hard Season
Jumping high, Peter Smith Matt ludice works the CBA tries to gain possession. offense in for a basket.
Perhaps it was the strain of putting together a lot of new faces; or perhaps it was the difficulty in facing larger opponents — whatever the reason, the 6-8 record of the Frosh Basketball season was no indication of the talent which Coach Gary Barnaba brought together this sea son.
Certainly Captains Casey Fallon, Mark Adams and Jason Dyer demonstrated that there is a great wealth of experience in the younger years of CBA’s Basketball pro gram. The J-D game was as good an example as any — since at 63-51, the Brothers witnessed their highest scor ing game of the season. Adams, Dyer and Fallon com bined for 50 points. With assists from Andy Donnelly, Tony Oliva and Pete Smith, the squad demonstrated the spark of their potential.
Even though their disappointing loss to Whitesboro by twenty points dampened what was essentially a learning
season for the Brothers, the demonstration of the skill of many members of the squad brings fresh blood to the JV team for next year.
