One never hears a sour note from CBA’s famous Sacco ingers. Begun by its moderator Mr. Frank Sacco ten ears ago for the purpose of providing a core group of ingers at CBA liturgies, the talented troupe continues to repare diligently for those moments when the CBA com-
lunity comes together to worship.
“ The Church needs participants from all groups in its
/orship,’’ observed Mr. Sacco when explaining the rea- ons for the singers’ presence. It is obvious that the Mae- tro spends a great deal of time and energy in choosing lis group. Made up primarily of Seniors and Juniors such ISGerry Mingolelli, Cathal O’Connor, and John Ryan, ind Tim Fallon, Ed Charette, and Tom Michaud who
have been with their mentor for three years, the troupe also comprises a crop of credible Sophomores, including Travis Heiser, Jeff Charles, and Marty Cooke who practiced the Sacco medley of songs hesitantly at first, but with more gusto as the year wore on.
The Music Room and Chapel often echoed to the strains of “ Sing a New Song” or some other hit on the Catholic Top Forty as the Singers prepared for the Advent Liturgy or the Mothers Club Mass. The combination of Mr. Sacco’s encouragement to enunciate and the Chorale’s gusty participation enabled the group to make each Litur gy a bit more meaningful.
The added touch is made by Mr. Sacco as the Singers tune up.
Mr. Sacco asks the immortal question “ Play it again Armand."
