P. 88

The Brothers’ competitive spirit extended itself to the mathematical arena throughout the year. Visions of gold played upon the minds of each Math Team member as they struggled with a myriad of complex formulae and numerical theories.
Under the leadership of Mr. Douglas Bower, the team continued its winning tradition. Mr. Bower observed: “ We got off to a good start, but we continually gained momentum with each passing meet.”
It was no wonder then, that the first meet — which was at CBA, saw competition becoming neck and neck with arch rival Nottingham. The Brothers lead proved insurmountable at the last problem where the Bulldogs were mathmatically eliminated. Henninger and Bishop Grimes took a distant third and fourth place, respectively.
