Monsters
Make
Their Move
on CBA
This year, the halls of CBA were graced with the presence of multi-sid ed dice, complex reference charts and detailed character sheets. The new role playing game fad had made its way into the school. Freshmen and Sophomores relaxed and enjoyed themselves after the burdens of study
by participating in the Dungeons and Dragons game club.
The young men, armed with magic weapons, powerful spells and unlimit ed courage, ventured fearlessly into the wilderness. There, they met with
malicious monsters and villainous vampires — but the force of justice prevailed and the heroic adventurers found success and unlimited wealth. Spurred on by cries of “ pretend that dragon is Brother Richard” and tales of magic rings which protect their wearers from pink slips, club leaders
Steve Orfanidas, Pat Donegan and Brian Mallory went forth again and again, gaining victory and fame — un til the final moment when the bus ar rived and they went home to confront the most dangerous enemy of all — daily homework.
The club, organized by Mrs. Cos tello, provided the young students with a chance to exercise their imagi nations and develop their ability to work together, as well as giving them some much needed entertainment.
Anticipation is featured on the face of Brian Mallory as he awaits the next throw of the dice.
