The 1988 Varsity Football team started strong this season, with an upset of 7th ranked Homer, earning them a top ten state rank. Soon after, however, the Brothers dropped three straight games, including a one point loss to JD at Ali- brandi. But the team closed with several strong wins to finish 4-4 on the season, despite a tough schedule. CBA faced the first, fourth, seventh, and twentieth ranked teams in the state.
The season was highlighted by the play of quarterback Chris Nelson, receiv er John Haas, and running back Daryl Gladden. On Defense, Ed Diamantis led the team with 93 tackles.
