Second semester last year, a new homeroom policy was instituted to give the band and chorus more rehearsal time. With no more practices after school or during classes, at tendance at band practice has been way up, and with the practice every other day, the quality of the band has in creased dramatically in the past year and a half. This, de spite a very young band con sisting of mostly seventh, eighth, and ninth graders. With only a few upperclassmen and the dedicated Mr. Caraher to provide leadership, the band contributed to a very success ful Christmas concert this year with such pieces as Lost Creek Adventure, Windsongs, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. The Jazz Ensemble, also a young group this year, pulled off three songs at the Christ mas concert, and was also a very successful part of the Music program.
