The Purple and Gold has had an inter esting year trying to come up with issues. A milestone has been set this year be cause most of the staff are seniors yet the writers are underclassmen: freshmen sophomores and even some 7th and 8th graders. This year has been more of a training process for the younger mem bers than the seniors for controversial is sues. Mrs. Bigelow has been the coordi nator since she arrived two years ago. Bo Bigelow is in his second year as editor- in-chief. The department editors include.- Jeremy Bialek, Eric Roberge, Scott Nick erson, Kristen Greeley and John McKeon. These editors are veterans and have helped the Purple and Gold become the successful paper it is today. Hopefully it will be able to continue and further the success of the Purple and Gold.

NOISE is the junior high school newspaper which is in its sec ond year of operation. The ac ronym NOISE stands for News Opinions Information Sports and Education. Noise attempts to present opinions of junior high events and issues that are of interest to the entire stu dent body. Because of the small size of the staff at NOISE, the paper was only published a few times this year. For the future, NOISE plans to merge with the Purple and Gold un less journalists turn up in the new seventh grade.
