This year’s National Honor Society continued the suc cessful programs from last year while introducing new ones. Under the leadership of President Jeremy Bialek and his staff, many programs benefited various com munity groups in need.
The canned food drive was a great success. Much needed donations to the area’s dwindling food pantries were well received. The call for contributions was heed ed by the students who showed that we are a caring community. The annual toy drive was also a success at Christmas time. The drive produced gifts for children from families who might otherwise have gone without presents. The clothing drive produced many clothing contributions. These were important to the needy peo ple as the cold weather set in. The blood drive was again a success with a full capacity of donors. The greatest success of this year was the tutoring program. NHS members were able to share their strengths with others having academic trouble.
This year’s NHS programs were great successes and a credit to the LaSalle chapter of the NHS and the CBA community. As St. Francis once said, "For it is in giving that we receive.”
Advisor Mr. Manning goes over the plans for the Na tional Honor Society’s next project. In NHS, Nobless Oblige is a way of life.
With self-confidence fueled by a recent Math Meet close win. Vice President Scott Nickerson decides to usurp Jeremy Bialek’s position as president. Given a choice between life and authority, Jeremy can only laugh.
